Ticket Information

All graduates have the ability to book up a maximum of four guest tickets.

Adelaide Convention Centre - Halls J & K

Parking & Public Transport 

The Adelaide Convention Centre offers two undercover car parks, the North Terrace car park and the Riverbank car park.
The North Terrace car park can be accessed via either direction along North Terrace. The Riverbank car park is accessed from Morphett Street (near the bridge).
There are many other car parks in the city close by, however parking in the city can fill up quickly.

As the Adelaide Convention Centre is located in the city there are many public transport options including bus, train and tram.
The Adelaide Railway Station is located next door and the closest tram stop is located in front of the railway station.

Academic Dress Collection Times and Location

Pick up times :

• 9:30am ceremony – gown collection is from 7:00am
• 2:30pm ceremony – gown collection is from 12:00pm

Academic Dress Information

Do I have to wear Academic Dress to participate in my Graduation Ceremony?
Yes. All graduates attending the ceremony are required to wear the appropriate academic dress – a gown with a hood and mortarboard or bonnet.
Academic dress can be hired from GFP Events.
Graduates are encouraged to obtain their academic dress from GFP Events who are the University’s preferred supplier.

How do I book my Academic Dress?
GFP Events provide an easy online solution to order and pay for your gown hire. Click here and follow the prompts to register for your regalia
Once you have completed your order you will receive an email confirmation.
Please present this confirmation at the Gowning counter to collect your gown.

How do I work out my Gown Size?
When you place your order online you will have the option to select your size e.g. extra small, small, medium, large etc and we will also ask for your height, this will allow us to ensure you have the correct size.

When do I return my Academic Dress?
Academic dress must be returned on your ceremony day within 2 hours of the conclusion of your ceremony.
Please ensure you have completed all photographic services prior to returning your gown.
Failure to return your academic dress on your ceremony day may incur a late fee, unless otherwise arranged with GFP Event staff.

What if I don't have a credit card - can I pay cash?
We highly recommend you use our secure online ordering system to ensure availability.
Alternatively, you can contact GFP Events to make a booking to pay on the day using cash and/or debit transactions.

Do I have to wear anything specific under my gown?
It is important to note the gown is open at the front; therefore what you are wearing underneath is visible.
It is for this reason we recommend you wear business attire, and comfortable shoes.
If the day is warm, you may want to remove your jacket as the gowns are quite heavy and it may be hot in the auditorium. 

How much will my Academic Dress hire cost?
Academic dress starts at $80 for a full set hire (gown, hood and mortarboard).

If you have requested for Flinders to provide your Academic Dress, it will be available to collect from the GFP Academic Dress Collection area in Foyer J&K.
If you are using your own Academic Dress, please remember to bring this with you.

Terms and Conditions
Failure to return Academic Dress on time will incur a charge equivalent to the balance of the purchase price of the regalia. Purchase price is three times the hire price.
Cancellation of Order - If you need to cancel your order please contact Customer Service to arrange your refund.
Generally refunds are not applicable if your cancellation occurs within 3 days of your ceremony.

How to wear your academic dress

Gown - The gown is worn over the top of your clothing like a jacket, graduate's arms go through the opening in the sleeve.

College Hood - For all degrees the hood is then placed over the top of your gown and worn around your neck and then loosely draping down your back. The neckband should have the college colour on top and the navy on the bottom.

Mortarboard - The Mortarboard is worn with shallow part to the front of your head and the deep part at the back, with the tassel placed on the left-hand side.

Bonnet - The bonnet is worn horizontally with the tassles hanging over the graduates left-hand side.

Graduate tickets will be provided at academic dress collection. Graduate’s seats are allocated and the seat number will be on the graduate ticket.

Guest Ticket Information
Guest tickets will be available for download once your order is completed. 

Each guest must have a ticket and present the ticket to gain access to the ceremony. Children over the age of 2 years will require a ticket if they are going to occupy a seat. All guests should be seated 10 minutes prior to commencement of the ceremony and remain seated until the conclusion of the ceremony. Children are most welcome to attend graduation ceremonies.

To register your guest tickets
Please refer to the popup box “Generating your Guest E-Tickets” once you have completed your checkout and follow the prompts from there.

To edit your guest tickets 
Please refer to your order confirmation which includes the link “Click here to nominate your Guests and generate their E-Ticket”.

Can update my guest details as the currently nominated guest is unable to attend?
Yes, you can update your guest tickets at any time, right up until the ceremony. To edit your guest tickets, please refer to your order confirmation which includes the link “Click
here to nominate your Guests and generate their E-Ticket” Please ensure you click the save button after you have made the edits and before your email the guest tickets.

I've changed the guest details, but why did I not receive a ticket?
If you have updated any guest details, please ensure you save the changes before re-sending the ticket. Once the details have been successfully saved, a green tick will appear
on your screen.

Why did my guest not receive a ticket?
If your guests didn't receive their tickets, please double-check their email addresses, and ask them to check their spam folders.

Studio Photography

GFP’s photography team will provide you and your family with a professional studio session that includes a wide range of individual, family and fun images.

Prints including the university logo, border and year of graduation are available for purchase at the conclusion of your ceremony.

Our plaques, available in Gold or Silver, can be mounted to a variety of bases and are a wonderful way to display your certificate at home or the office.
Pre-order your frame or plaque today through our Graduation Portal. 
We will require a copy of your certificate in order to produce your plaque. Please email a copy to info@gfp.com.au. If you haven't received your certificate from your university yet,
please let us know, and we will keep your order on hold in the meantime. Your certificate will then be reproduced onto your plaque. Hall J & K
